Some questions that may need answering.

Terms

:bulletblue: R.A.W.
:bulletorange: Real Armored Women= R.A.W

:bulletblue:The Metal Bikini
:bulletorange: The Metal Bikini is self explanatory really. It is what it sounds like: A metal bikini.   Here in R.A.W. we use this term to describe female heavy or light"armor" that leaves most of the body unprotected/exposed/bared and is all together more suited for a bedroom than a battlefield.
:bulletblue: The Magic Bra
:bulletorange: A Magic Bra is essentially a chest piece that defies the laws of physics, gravity, and common sense to hold the wearer's breasts in place even during a battle while only covering the nipple or some equally small area.
:bulletblue: Gravity Defying Cleavage (GDC)
:bulletorange: GDC is basically synonymous with the Magic Bra and also includes insanely large breasts that would otherwise impede a woman's ability to fight effectively.  Breasts aren't weightless and the bigger they get the heavier they get and too much weight up front... :faint: and you're more likely to fall over.
:bulletblue: Culturally Correct
:bulletorange: Not all cultures have the same armor.  Some have more some have less.  Some peoples run into battle only wearing a loincloth and a medallion while covered in scars some peoples run into battle in a suit of full metal armor with a bastard sword in their hand.  It all depends on the culture.  Now if you're going to draw a woman who is only wearing a loin cloth as she runs into battle you had better be prepared to PROVE that's part of her culture.  Ex: Neytiri from Avatar is a tough warrior female and is for all intents and purposes practically naked BUT that is part of her culture. This is okay.  However Mary Sue Pinkerton from Ohio running into battle wearing her itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini is NOT okay because I am fairly sure that running into battle wearing a bikini is not part of the culture in Ohio.
So....

:bulletblue: No "Metal Bikini" that means no nudity right?
:bulletorange: Not exactly.  ARTISTIC nudity is allowed.  For example if there was a picture of a woman putting on her armor that would be allowed as long as the armor isn't a Metal Bikini and it follows dA guidelines.  Now if a woman was standing in the middle of a battlefield stark naked with only a dagger in her hand surrounded by heaps of dead enemies unscathed it's a different story.
:bulletblue: This group is dedicated to the female warrior that means no males right?
:bulletorange: Once again not exactly.  As long as the art in question has something to do with a female warrior in it then it is okay.  So pictures of warrior couples, women fighting men, male blacksmiths forging female armor, and the like are okay to submit to the group.  For now there is no separate folder for that but that may change.
:bulletblue: No Magic Bra, No GDC=No cleavage?
:bulletorange: Yet again, not exactly.  Cleavage is okay as long as it's not gravity defying and not threatening to pop out at any second.

How Do I...
:bulletblue: Know what Gallery to Submit to?
:bulletorange: If you go to each gallery you will see on the left hand side a short description of what each gallery entails.  If you require more information on that please check out the
Gallery Descriptions
blog.
:bulletblue: Get Featured?
:bulletorange: Every month or so we the administrators will select one piece of art that was submitted during the course of the previous month (meaning the 1st through 30th31st) that goes above and beyond.  This does not always necessarily mean most professional grade of artwork.  This means most innovative, thought provoking, or out of the box idea.  So to get featured think out of the box and submit to the group.  If you are featured your artwork will be up for one month starting on the 1st-7th.
:bulletyellow:NOTE: Only those belonging to the group are eligible for Feature in the Featured Gallery unless otherwise stated by :icondangerousnightfires: .  If you want to be featured you need to join.
